Far-right parties have made big gains at the European Parliament as the Greens took a major hit at Sunday’s European elections, according to a first projection provided by the European Union. The estimates, however, remain in line with the growth trajectory witnessed by far right parties over the last two decades, FRANCE 24's Dave Keating said, reporting from Brussels. "According to the exit polls, the centrist majority will hold in the Parliament," he said, adding that “the far right will not have the numbers to form a right-wing controlling coalition with the centre right”.
