US Vice President Kamala Harris made her first public appearance on Monday since entering the presidential race after President Joe Biden, 81, abruptly abandoned his reelection bid on Sunday. Five leading Democratic governors so far have announced their support for Harris, including Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer and the governors of Kentucky, Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin.
