From the front lines, Ukrainian soldiers share thoughts on upcoming peace summit
Ukrainian soldiers of the 59th Brigade in the eastern Donetsk region are sceptical about the upcoming Ukraine Peace Summit that is to be held in Switzerland on June 15 and 16. Oleksandr, 53, admits he doesn't "have the time to watch the news" and is only vaguely aware of the event. "We don't even have time to just call our families," he says, adding that "the main thing is to have peace... all the guys want to come home alive".
