President Macron Wednesday gave his first press conference after announcing Sunday the dissolution of the French parliament in what FRANCE 24 International Affairs Editor Angela Diffley called a “very strange exercise”. Macron “basically said if our people are elected in these elections, we would do more of the same with a tilt to the right on immigration, on integration and secularity and on crime,” Diffley pointed out.
