Netanyahu faces growing pressure at home after Biden's Gaza proposal
It's a peace proposal which puts Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in an awkward position. On Friday (June 1), the US President Joe Biden outlined a three-phase peace plan in order to permanently end Israel's war in Gaza and secure the release of over one hundred hostages -living and deceased. While two far-right Israeli ministers said they would quit his government if the deal went ahead, the proposal was met with hope and support from the families of the hostages.
